Pablo Picasso – The Suite Vollard
If all the paths I have taken were marked out with a line on a map,
the result would probably be a Minotaur. “ Pablo Picasso
Between 1930 and 1937 Picasso created a series of one hundred graphic art works that came to be known by the name of the publisher and art dealer who commissioned them, Ambroise Vollard. The graphic suite consists of variations by Picasso on such different themes as the artist and his model and the Minotaur myth. In 2001 the Pablo Picasso Art Museum in Münster managed to acquire the complete graphic sequence, regarded among experts as seminal works.
