Lithography

Lithography is a planographic procedure, that is, the printing and non-printing parts are on the same flat surface. The water-repellent property of grease is what makes ink application and printing possible. The complex chemical processes demand extensive knowledge of printing techniques and a great deal of experience of both artist and printer.

Etching

Etching is an intaglio process, meaning that the printing parts are at a deeper level than the non-printing parts.
